Julie Taylor, LMHC
Therapy for the life you’re living — and the life you want to create.

Meet Julie
Therapy should be a place where you can exhale.
You don’t have to have the right words, know exactly what’s wrong, or arrive with a plan. You can come as you are — overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, grieving, stuck, or simply knowing that something in your life needs to change.
I’m Julie Taylor, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than two decades of experience supporting people through difficult seasons of their lives. My approach is warm, genuine, collaborative, and practical. I believe people grow when they feel truly seen and understood — not judged, analyzed, or told who they should be.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress and burnout, as well as those who want to build greater confidence and create a life that feels more like their own.
My work draws from CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy, but I don’t believe therapy should feel like a formula. We’ll use the approaches and tools that make sense for you, your experiences, and what you want to change.
Therapy isn’t only about feeling better. It can also be about understanding yourself differently, trusting yourself more, and deciding what you want the next part of your life to look like.
How I Can Help

Anxiety, Stress & Feeling Overwhelmed
When your mind won’t slow down, you’re carrying too much, or you feel like you’re constantly trying to hold everything together, therapy can help you understand what’s underneath it and develop practical ways to feel more grounded and in control.

Relationships & Life Transitions
Relationships, separation, changing family roles, career changes, grief, and other transitions can leave you questioning what comes next. Therapy offers a place to sort through what’s happening, understand your needs, and move forward with greater clarity.

Confidence & Personal Growth
You don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes you simply know you want something different. We can work on patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen your confidence and self-trust, and help you create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
What Therapy With Me Looks Like
Warm and genuine
You don’t need to perform in therapy. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly, including about the things that are difficult to say out loud.
Collaborative
I won’t sit silently and expect you to do all the work. We’ll explore what’s happening together, identify patterns, and focus on changes that matter to you.
Practical when you need it
Insight matters, but so does knowing what to do next. I draw from CBT, DBT and solution-focused approaches to provide strategies you can actually use outside the therapy room.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
Finding the right therapist matters. I offer an initial consultation so we can talk briefly about what brings you to therapy, what you’re looking for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
